Account data

We process account identifiers supplied by Apple, Google or Firebase email authentication to create and secure your session. Provider credentials are handled by the relevant authentication service and are not used as scan targets.

Verification and scan data

A contact detail is sent only after you confirm ownership or control and request a scan. It may be transmitted to the configured verification and exposure providers needed to fulfil that request. Raw targets are not retained in local report history; saved reports use a masked target.

Local data

Reports, removal status and security preferences may be stored on your device. Alias-service keys, when provided, are stored using device-secure storage where available.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process data to provide the requested service, secure accounts, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Where consent is the appropriate basis, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Retention

We keep account and operational data only for as long as needed for the service, security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Device-local information can be removed through the app’s account controls, subject to technical and legal limits.

Your rights

UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to request portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

Black Bot is not intended for children under 16.
